Pioneers of Highland Park
Elliott Miller, President
Before there was a city of Highland Park, there was Moses. Moses Moses was his name and he opened the first mercantile (dry goods) shop in 1868 on the corner of First Street and Central in what, the following year, became incorporated as the city of Highland Park. This program examines the origins of Highland Park businesses.
Elliott Miller, President of the Highland Park Historical Society, presents on the pioneers of Highland Park.
Recorded live at Highland Park Library on May 18, 2010 by Chicago Amplified of WBEZ Chicago Public Radio.
