‘The Rise and Fall of the Berlin Wall’ presented by German historian Anette Isaacs. November 9th marks the 20th anniversary of the Berlin wall’s fall that brought Germany together and paved the way to the country’s unification. German historian Anette Isaacs will discuss events from 1945 leading to the Berlin Wall’s rise on August 13th, 1961 and fall 28 years later in 1989.
German born and raised Anette Isaacs did her graduate work at Emory University in Georgia, the University of Vienna and at the Free University in Berlin, and holds a Master´s Degree in American Studies, Political Science and History. Ms. Isaacs lectures on various German historical, cultural, social and political topics.
